About Merlin Cordes
Merlin has been a REALTOR® for 13 years. He was awarded REALTOR® of the Year by Kachemak Board of REALTORS® in December 2017. He enjoys meeting people and helping them sell/buy a home or property.
For the past 10 years he has helped coach Bruins Basketball for elementary boys and girls from 1st grade through 6th grade, which has been a lot of fun.
Merlin enjoys refereeing local high school basketball and volleyball games, which he has done for the past 25 years. He has worked many state and local tournaments. He has been from Cordova to Unalaska to officiate matches and games.
Summers are a busy time of year for him with real estate and hobbies. Homer is great for fishing halibut, salmon, rock fish, ling cod, and much more. Gardening and tending his honey bees takes up much of his time, too, but the fall harvest is the reward for summer’s hard work.
Merlin’s other interests have led him to being on the Board of Directors at his church, the Homer Senior Citizens, and Kachemak Board of REALTORS®. Helping these organizations in the community where he lives, is how he gives back.
A brief career History: teaching and coaching for 10 years after college, working for an oil company on the North Slope, running a business as the owner of The Driftwood Inn, commercial fishing in Cook Inlet, and now a REALTOR®.
Merlin hopes to get the chance to work with you for all your real estate needs.
